Real. Conservative. Leader.

My name is Scott Johnson, and I am asking for your vote in the Republican Primary for Georgia State Senate District 37. The Primary is on May 24, and early voting starts on May 2.

In public service, I've spent nearly a decade protecting our public schools while promoting good options for meeting students education needs. I currently serve on the State Board of Education, including a past term as Chairman. Our Board has taken steps to stop divisive ideologies in Georgia classrooms and I will personally continue that fight under the Gold Dome.

I have a decades long career working in all aspects of the supermarket industry, and have helped to ensure families have access to affordable, safe, and healthy foods. Today, the rising costs of food, fuel and other necessities are putting pressures on families unlike anything seen in a generation. I’ll work hard along with our state leaders to begin to tackle these issues to ensure good jobs for Georgians and to keep food on the table.

Now I am ready to serve as your State Senator and am counting on your support. I look forward to earning your vote. Please call me if you have any questions that I can answer. My phone is (404) 580-3755.

Tackle Inflation

Scott's entire professional career has been spent helping deliver affordable, high quality foods to families. Although a tremendous amount of work needs to be done on the national level, Scott knows how regulations in Georgia impact the ability of supermarkets and retail shops to deliver goods and services in a tight labor market with high inflation. Scott will lead the Senate in helping to provide real tangible “kitchen table” solutions for families to help keep their grocery bills affordable.

Protect Public Education & Stop CRT

For 10 years, Scott has served parents and students as member of the State board of education, including two years as its Chairman. Scott has made it his mission to ensure parents have access to thriving public schools while also expanding choices for parents needing an alternative for their children to explore every option to meet each child’s educational needs. His work has earned recognition by the Georgia Charter Schools Association, earning their “Champion for Children” Award.

Defend the Second Amendment

The Second Amendment is fundamental law in our country. Scott is a Life Member of the NRA, has served for three years on the Education and Training Committee, was appointed to the Nominating Committee 2021, and was appointed to the Hearings Committee in 2022. The Second Amendment is central to Scott's principles as a conservative, and he will not waver on defending this most basic God-given right.

Restore Election Integrity

Our elections are a contract of trust that is made between the voters of Georgia and their government. If Georgians cannot trust that contract, then our government loses its legitimacy. On the back of a stress test that nobody could see coming, it is clear we need to continue taking steps towards ensuring that our elections are easy to vote in but hard to cheat. Scott will push for stronger protections in our elections.
